What I Learned About Decision Fatigue During A Run!

While on a run I plugged into a podcast and thought this topic was great to share with you all. Here are my quick pointers

  • Sit Down & Plan Ahead (This cuts out trying to decide what to eat for lunch and dinner in the moment.) Many times those decisions lead to poor choices.

    Think In The Morning:

  • Before you give to everyone else, take care of yourself in the morning. Do your most important task first thing in the morning. Walk or run, take thinking about it out of the equation, and just get into the habit of doing it first thing in the morning.

    Act in The Afternoon:

  • Answer your emails, set up meetings, run errands, respond to social media posts, etc.

    Read / Sleep At Night:

  • As you wind down for sleep, stop eating 3 hours before bed, stop working 2 hours before bed, and stop screen time 1 hour before bed. Your reading before bed should be relaxing not work reading. If you are in school, save studying for first thing in the morning when your brain is the freshest.

Please press play to hear me break this all down further. As well as hear the shout outs of the week.
