#298 - Progress Doesn’t Always Look Like Progress

Progress Doesn’t Always Look Like Progress

What does progress look like when you’re recovering from surgery, changing your nutrition, and building a nonprofit? In Episode #298 of the Run To The Best You Podcast, Coach Tadris shares how walking instead of running has become part of his recovery, why losing nearly 20 pounds has been about much more than the number on the scale, and how the Run To The Best You Summer Community Impact Campaign is helping remove barriers so more people can improve their health through movement, mindset, and community. Whether you’re in a season of recovery or simply looking for encouragement to keep moving forward, this episode is a reminder that every step counts.

Shout-Out Of The Week:

Despite temperatures reaching nearly 100 degrees, our Run To The Best You community still showed up. Instead of canceling, we adapted by walking in the shade, slowing our pace, staying hydrated, and putting safety first. We played music, walked together, shared plenty of laughs, and, honestly, the heat was never even a topic of conversation. It was a great reminder that becoming the best version of yourself is not about waiting for perfect conditions—it is about making the best of the conditions you have. Every person who joined us chose progress over excuses, proving that you do not have to be perfect or set a personal record to move your life forward. Sometimes the biggest victory is simply showing up, taking that first step, and surrounding yourself with a community that encourages, supports, and makes the journey enjoyable every step of the way.
